A Consulting Firm That Works Alongside You, Not Above You

Sinar Logic was founded on the belief that good consulting is collaborative — built on honest conversation, careful analysis, and a genuine interest in the organization we are working with.

Our Story

How Sinar Logic Came to Be

Sinar Logic was established in Petaling Jaya by a small group of practitioners who had spent years working inside Malaysian corporations before moving into advisory roles. What they noticed repeatedly was a gap: organizations often knew something was not working but lacked a structured, neutral space to examine it clearly.

The firm's name — Sinar, meaning beam of light in Bahasa Malaysia — reflects that intention: to bring a directed, clarifying perspective to organizational challenges. Logic, in turn, reflects the belief that good decisions are grounded in evidence and sound reasoning, not assumptions or convenience.

Since opening, the firm has worked with companies in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Johor across industries including manufacturing, financial services, professional services, and education. Engagements range from three-week culture assessments to twelve-week governance programs.

Every engagement is led personally by a senior consultant — we do not hand work off to junior staff after the contract is signed. That commitment to hands-on involvement is something clients consistently mention when they speak about working with us.

Mission & Values

What We Believe In

Honesty Before Comfort

We share findings plainly, even when they are inconvenient. A consultant who only tells clients what they want to hear is not serving them well.

Sustainable Progress

We are not interested in short-term optics. Our programs are designed to produce change that holds — requiring organizational readiness, not just executive sign-off.

Respect for People

The individuals inside client organizations are the ones who know it best. Our role is to listen carefully, synthesize honestly, and make space for their voices — not to override them.

Defined Scope

We do not expand engagements without client request. Our fee structures are transparent and our scope boundaries are respected in both directions.

Contextual Knowledge

We stay current with Malaysian corporate governance frameworks, Bursa listing requirements, and emerging practices in organizational behavior and data analytics.

Confidentiality

Client information is never shared between engagements, referenced in marketing without explicit permission, or disclosed to third parties without written consent.

Our Standards

How We Maintain Quality

Written Engagement Agreements

Every engagement begins with a signed scope of work document clearly defining deliverables, timelines, confidentiality obligations, and payment terms.

Data Privacy Compliance

All data collected during engagements is handled in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). Participant consent is obtained before qualitative data collection.

Structured Delivery Reviews

Midpoint check-ins are built into every engagement to assess progress, address emerging questions, and confirm alignment between the work and client expectations.

Professional Memberships

Team members maintain active membership with the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) and the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM).

Post-Engagement Support

Clients may reach out for clarification on deliverables within 60 days of engagement completion at no additional cost. We want the work to be usable, not just submitted.

Independence & Objectivity

We do not accept vendor commissions or referral fees from recommended tool providers. Our tooling and methodology recommendations are based solely on suitability for the client's context.

Business Consulting in Malaysia

Malaysian organizations face a distinctive set of challenges: navigating between family-led management structures and professional governance expectations, building internal capabilities amid competitive talent markets, and responding to regulatory changes that affect corporate conduct and data handling practices. Sinar Logic works in this specific context — not applying imported frameworks uncritically, but adapting proven methods to the local organizational environment.

Culture work in Malaysia requires an understanding of multilayered workplace dynamics — the interplay of hierarchy, deference, interpersonal loyalty, and communication norms that shape how people interact at work. Our culture assessments are designed with this context in mind, using facilitation approaches that invite honest participation rather than surface-level agreement.

Governance advisory in Malaysia has developed significantly since the publication of the Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance (MCCG) and subsequent SC guidance. Companies preparing for IPO, responding to investor scrutiny, or transitioning from founder-managed structures find structured governance documentation to be both a compliance need and a management tool. Sinar Logic's board advisory program addresses both dimensions.
