Our Methodology

How We Structure Every Engagement

Regardless of which program you are in, every Sinar Logic engagement follows the same four-phase structure: a discovery phase to understand your organization's current state; an analysis phase where we examine data, conduct interviews, or review documentation; a synthesis phase where findings are developed into recommendations and deliverables; and a facilitated delivery phase where we present findings and support the organization in understanding and using them.

A midpoint review is built into all programs. If something significant surfaces mid-engagement that changes scope or direction, we address it directly — we do not proceed silently and then present a surprise at the end.

Organizational Culture Assessment

A qualitative engagement that explores the lived culture within your organization — the unwritten norms, communication patterns, decision-making habits, and values that shape daily behavior. Over three weeks, the team conducts confidential interviews, focus groups, and an anonymous survey to develop a comprehensive cultural profile.

Designed for organizations experiencing tension between stated intentions and day-to-day reality — where leadership suspects that culture is affecting performance, retention, or team cohesion, but lacks a clear picture of what the culture actually is.

Board Advisory & Governance Program

A sustained engagement for companies seeking to establish or strengthen their board-level governance practices. Over twelve weeks, the program covers board composition assessment, committee structure design, director evaluation frameworks, board meeting effectiveness reviews, and governance documentation development.

Appropriate for companies preparing for IPO, transitioning from founder-led management, or responding to investor governance expectations. The program aligns with the Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance (MCCG) and Bursa Malaysia listing requirements where applicable.

Privacy by Default

All data collection follows PDPA 2010 requirements. Participant consent is obtained before qualitative data collection begins. Anonymization is applied to all reported findings.

Written Scope of Work

A detailed engagement letter specifying deliverables, timelines, fee milestones, and confidentiality obligations is signed by both parties before any work begins.

Midpoint Reviews

Scheduled midpoint check-ins ensure alignment between the work in progress and client expectations. Significant findings surfaced early are addressed directly, not deferred.

Independence Standards

No vendor commissions or third-party referral fees influence tool or service recommendations. All guidance is based solely on fit for the client's context.

Post-Delivery Support

A 60-day post-engagement support period is included across all programs. Clients may seek clarification on deliverables without an additional engagement contract.

Continuous Development

Sinar Logic consultants maintain active professional development through MIM and ICDM membership, keeping methodology current with evolving organizational and governance practices.
